Wellness Check Led to Discovery of Body Parts

BRONX - Cops performing a wellness check on a Bronx resident came upon the grizzly discovery of a human torso. The body parts were found in an apartment three blocks away from Yankee Stadium, the NYPD announced.

The Queens DA said the contractor discovered millions of dollars worth of drugs, including deadly fentanyl, as well as a cache of weapons in an abandoned house. According to Queens District Attorney Melinda Katz, the contractor stumbled on a $10 Million drug ring operating out of a house in the quiet Bellrose section of Queens borough. Prosecutors said deadly opioids such as fentanyl as well as heroin and cocaine were in the home. Cops also recovered several handguns and hundreds of rounds of ammunition.

At around noon on November 17, a torso with attached legs was found on the sand at Breezy Point Beach in Queens. The body’s head and arms were missing. The city’s Medical Examiner’s office will determine the cause of death. The NYPD’s Hate Crimes Task Force is investigating. At around 10 pm on November 9, two women were removing the posters of missing Israelis taken hostage by Hamas. The pair tore down the posters that were on light poles outside a park on Riverside Drive and West 82nd Street. The NYPD said a 41-year-old woman saw the pair and used her phone to record the posters being torn down. The woman began arguing with the suspects over tearing down the posters.
