NEW YORK - A group of wannabe train conductors are being sought by police after breaking into a subway car and driving the train for a brief period.

The NYPD released surveillance video of the trio who were seen walking through the empty, out of service subway car. Cops said the group gained access to the motorman’s cabin and drove the train in Queens.

At around 4:45 pm on December 30, the group entered the unoccupied train cars at the Forest Hills-71st Avenue subway station. Cops said the males entered the motorman’s cabin and drove the train a short distance. The group was then seen exiting the front of the train and jumping onto the subway tracks before fleeing by foot.

No description of the suspects has been given.
