NEW YORK - Smash and grab robbers broke into 20 pharmacies and cleaned them out of meds during a two-month long crime spree, the NYPD said.

Cops say the same crew has robbed 20 stores throughout Brooklyn and Queens across the confines of 12 NYPD precincts from Flushing, Queens to Bayridge, Brooklyn.

Investigators released dramatic surveillance video from inside one of the pharmacies. In the video, a car pulls up outside the drug store. Men get out and run over to the glass front door. One of the crew takes a hammer to the door and smashes and removes the glass to gain entrance.

The pair is then seen walking through the pharmacies taking medication off the shelves.  Cops said the crooks used the same smash and grab pattern in each case.
