Hate Crime - Man Tries to Set Jewish Restaurant on Fire in Brooklyn

NEW YORK - The NYPD is searching for a man who is seen on surveillance video setting a Jewish restaurant on fire in Brooklyn.
At around 4 am on November 18, a man was captured on surveillance video walking up to Shalom Japan restaurant on 4th Street in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. The highly acclaimed Japanese Jewish fusion restaurant had a pair of window tarps on the outside of the restaurant that contained an image of the Star of David.
Cops said the man set both tarps with the Star of David on fire. He is then seen walking casually back and forth checking his phone as the fire starts to spread. The arsonist then walks away.
Karaoke Sex Assault Suspect Busted
The NYPD’s Hate Crimes Task Force is investigating the arson as an anti-Jewish hate crime.
The suspect is described as a male with a dark complexion and a thin build. He was last seen wearing black sneakers, a baseball hat, long pants and a long jacket.
